Brynteg Road is a supported housing scheme in Blaina provided by United Welsh in partnership with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. We support patients to move from psychiatric long-term hospital ward placements back to living in the community.
Consisting of five separate apartments, each with a living and kitchen area, a bathroom and bedroom, Brynteg Road has staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help tenants to develop life skills and move towards resilient, independent living.
Our Thrive team work in partnership to provide Brynteg Road, helping people to improve their wellbeing and realise their potential.
Our staff develop therapeutic relationships with tenants to support their social needs and minimise the risk of mental health relapse. Tenants don’t have a designated “move on” date, so it could potentially be a long-term home.
You can see how much living at Brynteg means to tenants Mark and Nigel in the films below.
